CARE Groups

The CARE groups purpose statement is: “CARE groups exist as a vehicle of Valley Ministries MCC to promote and encourage the following: Connecting with each other; Accepting and being accepted; Realizing God’s Word and it’s relevancy in today’s world; and Encouraging each other through prayer and friendship."

We currently have three groups that meet every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. In each group one is sure to find friendship, encouragement and relevent study. If you are not a part of a group, or do not know how to get connected with a group, email us and let us know

where you live and how to contact you. A leader in your area will be sure to get in touch with you.

We have CARE groups in Stockton, Sacramento, and a Commuter CARE group that takes place at Valley Ministries after service. Commuter CARE is meant for all those who live 15 miles or more from another CARE group.

Currently our leaders are:

  • Stockton .................... Phyllis Moore
  • Stockton .................... Rose Flores-Alcaraz
  • Commuter CARE ........................ Nancy Baca
  • Commuter CARE ........................ Dena Bowmer
  • Commuter CARE ........................ Marnie Osborne
  • Sacramento .................Erica Retzer
  • Sacramento .................Diana Kline

What people are saying :

"Last night was wonderful, spirit filled, open, honest and incredible! ...It was such a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, we didn't want the meeting to end, what a blessing!"

"Our meeting was a great success!!! Everyone was very comfortable loved the format and had a great time."

"I've never been in a religious group that was so accepting. It was great to know I could say anything and I wouldn't be judged."
